The two chickens were found hanging from a rope thrown over a power line on Pertobe Road on Thursday morning, in what is believed to be a prank.
The uncooked processed chickens, which appear to have been purchased from a supermarket or butcher and could weigh up to four kilograms, were hanging at different heights in front of the Warrnambool Tennis Club.
One chicken was hanging at the same height as a nearby road sign, while the other was hanging more than six metres high.
A Powercor spokeswoman said a crew was called to remove the chickens and rope from the power line about 9am Thursday.
There are unconfirmed reports of other similar incidents in the city.
