Former Camperdown resident Grace Brown’s year has reached another high after she was named in the Australian cycling team for the UCI Road World Championships in Innsbruck-Tirol, Austria in September.

Brown, along with fellow first time teammates Brodie Chapman, Lucy Kennedy, will feature in the seven-rider team tasked with guiding Amanda Spratt through the climber-friendly 156.2-kilometre ride to a hopeful victory.

The 26-year-old, who is currently wearing the yellow leaders jersey in the National Road Series riding for Holden Team Gusto, expressed her emotions on social media on Wednesday.
“This year just keeps getting better,” she said. “I'm unbelievably excited to be selected for this year's UCI world champs team.”
“Honoured to be able to represent Cycling Australia alongside Amanda Spratt, Shara Gillow, Tiffany Cromwell, Sarah Roy, Lucy Kennedy and Brodie Chapman.”
