A 23-YEAR-OLD Portland man has been charged with a home break-in that netted electrical goods valued at $2500.

Detective Senior Constable Jarrod Anderson, of the Portland police crime investigation unit, said the man was arrested on Tuesday, interviewed, charged and bailed to appear in the Portland Magistrates Court on October 2.
A burglary was committed at a Francis Street home on July 14 and items including a computer and PlayStation were stolen.
The man was also charged with evading a $46 taxi fare.
Detective Senior Constable Anderson said forensic evidence linked the man to the Francis Street break-in.
