The Warrnambool-based apprentice diesel mechanic has played 15 senior games in 2018 thanks to a shift in his roster.
“Last year I couldn’t play every game because I was working every second Saturday and this year work has let me play and train,” the Midfield Meats worker said.
“I am working half days on Saturdays and still playing.
“I am stoked about it. It’s unreal.”
Pevitt, the grandson of former Seagull Donny, said the benefits of consistent training were evident.
“It was a bit of a struggle last year trying to find the footy. This year I’ve been lucky enough to come into a little bit of form and been lucky enough to be picked,” he said.
Pevitt, 21, has played a mixture of positions for the Hampden league premiership contender, including tagging roles. “I like being in the middle, it’s good fun,” he said.
