Hampden junior footballers and netballers advance to 2018 grand finals

NORTH Warrnambool Eagles will vie for the Hampden league under 16 football flag.

The Eagles edged out minor premier Hamilton Kangaroos in the second semi-final 7.5 (47) to 7.3 (45) at Camperdown’s Leura Oval on Sunday.

The Kangaroos will face South Warrnambool in the preliminary final after the Roosters’ narrow 7.6 (48) to 7.5 (47) victory over Warrnambool in a thrilling first semi-final.

Koroit is one step away from the under 14 football premiership.

The Saints booked their grand final berth with an accurate 9.1 (55) to 4.6 (30) second semi-final victory over minor premier South Warrnambool.

The Roosters will face Cobden in the preliminary final after the Bombers ended Hawks’ campaign with a 5.3 (33) to 2.4 (16) first semi-final win.

South Warrnambool has made the 16 and under netball grand final following a convincing 37-11 second semi-final victory over Warrnambool.

The Blues will meet Hawks in the preliminary final after they accounted for Terang Mortlake 32-17 in their first semi-final showdown.

Hawks are through to the 14 and under netball decider.

They defeated minor premier South Warrnambool by a goal in the second semi-final to advance.

The Roosters will play Camperdown in the preliminary final after the Magpies ended Koroit’s season with a 31-16 first semi-final win.

The Hampden junior preliminary finals will be played at Davidson Oval on Sunday.
