“We played well for most of the game and always fought out the game,” he said.
“But we just let them slip in a 10 to 20-minute period and couldn’t stop their run.”
Tully Allwood was a clear standout for Dennington.
The midfielder finished the season with one of his strongest performance of the season on Saturday.
Allwood was the Dogs' leading goal kicker with four majors, his biggest tally of the season.
And his efforts in the last game of the season saw him named best on ground.
