The concert was also a celebration of the orchestra’s 30th anniversary.
The 31 members of the orchestra to perform included three members who have been with it since its early days, Chris Philpot, Nick Thies and Philip Trigg.
They drove away the winter chills with lively works by well-known composers as well as music for Rumanian folk dances by Bartok.
The concert at the Christ Church in Henna Street also featured the Robin Wright Ensemble that played an arrangement of Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons.’
