The Demons take on South Rovers in what is forecast to be very ordinary weather conditions.
But with Rovers fighting to keep their finals hopes alive, Gowland said the weather is not their only concern.
"They will definitely come out firing," she said.
"South are currently in the five and if they beat us they'll stay in, so with this being their only chance to play finals I expect them to go all out.”
The Demons, who have third spot locked in, will not be taking Rovers lightly, according to Gowland.
She said she didn’t want to flirt with form ahead of finals.
"We will definitely be using this match as a preparation game for finals,” she said.
"So we'll certainly focus on how to beat South first, because we definitely need to win and hopefully we come away with the win at their expense, unfortunately for South.
"But in back of our minds we'll be thinking about how we tackle Nirranda the next week."
With Russells Creek having the bye, it will move into the five and play finals if South Rovers lose.
