Along with the 2018 winner of I’m a celebrity… get me out of here, the South West Dairy Ladies’ Luncheon will also include Garvoc athlete and The Standard columnist Virginia Moloney, best known for winning the 2016 Melbourne Marathon and for her performance at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The annual event has been running for more than eight years and aims to inspire women in the dairy industry.
WestVic Dairy’s chair, Simone Renyard, who is also involved in the organising committee, said the committee was thrilled to offer such high-class speakers to the local women.
“We want to give women the opportunity to have a nice break and having a good speaker is an important part of that,” she said.
“Women often put themselves last and don’t look after themselves as much as they should. We need to make sure dairying women get the support and recognition they deserve.”
On the day, there will be trade stalls which will showcase local products and provide women with a chance to pamper themselves.
The luncheon will be held on August 15 at Brother Fox Café at the Deakin Warrnambool campus. Tickets cost $30 and include a complimentary drink and a three-course lunch. Tickets from WestVic Dairy on 5557 1000 prior to the event.
