Jindara Austin, 24, Tyers Street, was arrested in Hamilton at 10am Wednesday and later appeared in the Hamilton Magistrates Court where he made a bail application.
That application was adjourned by magistrate Cynthia Toose part-heard until Friday in Warrnambool court.
Police said the new charges were six counts of breaching bail conditions, four of breaching an overnight curfew and two of failing to report to the Hamilton police station when required.
Mr Austin was originally charged with eight offences, including burglary, theft, theft from a vehicle, trespass, handling stolen goods, being a prohibited person in possession of firearms and using a firearm in public.
Police allege Mr Austin was involved in a burglary at Hamilton during February which involved the theft of five firearms, including rifles and shotgun.
Police opposed bail being granted.
