The Roos recorded their first ever victory over Camperdown on Saturday, winning 16.10 (106) to 14.15 (99), to move just two points outside of the top five.
They now have five wins, one draw and one loss from their past seven outings.
Dunn said his team had started to gel together strongly and was confident that chemistry would strengthen in its late charge for finals.
"As our game style and understanding continues to grow I think we keep improving and keep getting better each week,” he said.
"And as we keep winning I think the more belief we get out of it."
That belief was evident in the final term.
At three-quarter time Camperdown looked to be in the box seat as it held a crucial 22-point lead.
Then enter star midfielder Tyrone Ross, who went forward and booted four final-term goals to see the Roos bounce to victory.
Ross finished the game with seven majors to be named best on ground for Hamilton.
The win sees the Roos remain in the race for finals, though it is one of four teams fighting for the last two spots.
Dunn kept a lid on things after the match, despite acknowledging the importance of the win, and said the equation for his team was simple.
"It is going to be a really tight end to the season, but I feel if we can keep winning we can control our destiny.
"So we do just have to keep winning."
