Moloney said his side was starting to buy into his game plan and was eager to look forward to 2019 after securing a comfortable 19.14 (128) to 9.11 (65) victory over Panmure on Saturday.
“It just shows if we play our kind of footy and everyone is willing to work to the game plan we can get over the line,” the ruckman said.
“The boys are still coming to training and showing they are still keen. We even have plenty of guys who are eager for a big pre-season.
“There is a really good feeling around the club at the moment.”
Moloney said his midfield had been the key to the Kangaroos’ eight-goal opening term and for blowing the game open after the first break.
The Kangaroos move off the bottom of the ladder and into ninth, while the Bulldogs fall back to 10th with more questions about when they are going to secure a maiden win in 2018.
Panmure playing coach Tim Condon said it came back to mentality of his young side as it slumped to its 14th loss of the year.
“We are searching for that win and if we had a win by now we would be more relaxed,” the first-year playing coach said.
“I think we are thinking too much about a win and not doing the right things to make it fall our way.
“We know that we have to work on and that’s trying to get the four-quarter effort against every team we play.”
