The Kangaroos are eager to rectify their one-goal loss to South Rovers and keep their finals hopes alive with games against Merrivale on Saturday followed by Allansford and East Warrnambool before a last-round bye.
Robertson’s team sits six points behind the Lions in sixth place, but the first-year coach is hopeful her side can sneak into the top five.
“We were disappointed about last weekend’s loss but we are confident we can secure the wins we need to make finals,” she said.
“We know our potential and what we can do to make it. We just have to focus and keep winning.”
Robertson, who injured her ACL early this season and is a chance for a finals return, said she would again need to plug holes left by injuries with goal attack Ellie McMahon also injuring her ACL last weekend.
“We will have to unfortunately re-arrange our side again,” she said.
“We do still have a stable side, we will just be testing out a few juniors in the side over the next few weeks.”
The first-year playing coach said goal shooter Sarah Robertson, midcourter Brooke Price and defender Micaela Eccles had been standouts for the Kangaroos in recent weeks.
