Demons coach Mick Hunt confirmed that Harding had been cleared of any structural damage and was diagnosed with a slight lateral strain in his left knee.
Hunt confirmed the forward would be close to a return.
“We will rest him this week (against Merrivale) and he is a possibility to play next week’s game (against Old Collegians),” he said.
“He will continue to do his exercises and strengthen that knee and the doctor said he could return to training which is a positive for us.”
The 21-year-old was stretchered from the ground during last Saturday’s clash with Nirranda.
Harding was taken to hospital immediately for x-rays, which reveled the first batch of good news.
