It was one of three clubs looked at to be involved in a WDCA revamp.
President Luke Smith said the association spoke to the club about potentially dropping to division two.
"We are definitely staying put and wouldn't be giving up our spot,” he said.
“They spoke to us to see how we were going and we were asked, not told, but asked, if we had considered going down.
“But we said straight up it’s not an option at all.”
Smith acknowledged the club had been unsuccessful for some time, but believed the future looked promising.
“We showed our intentions with a few changes around the club and explained that we are trying to build up,” he said.
“We showed that a few years ago we went from last to first and we are again in the building process.
“But we busted our backside to get into division one after 10 years, if we dropped out we'd have to wait for 10 years to get back in.
“So we would rather ride out a couple of tough years than to wait another 10 years to get back in.”
