The Dot Jenkins-coached outfit swooped on Camperdown on Saturday, putting the Magpies in a precarious position in fifth spot.
Jenkins said belief was the catalyst for the second-placed Eagles’ performance.
Defender Georgia Corbett epitomised that trait in the 39-22 win at Bushfield Recreation Reserve.
“Georgia was unbelievably good,” she said.
“She hunted the ball well. Georgia is terrific at seeing a loose ball and going for it but her decision-making about whether to go for it or not was really good yesterday.
“Some weeks she leaves her player too much.”
Jenkins said the Eagles were adapting to changes each week.
“I didn’t think we had a passenger yesterday,” she said.
“They have so much confidence in each other and in themselves at the minute.
“They are confident in whoever we put on the court.”
