The Blues brushed off a determined Timboon Demons to record a comfortable 18-goal win on Saturday.
Though coach Steph Townsend said her side showed the Demons as much respect as it did Dennington last week.
Townsend said she made sure that the bar was set high for the Blues each game.
"You just can't be complacent," she said.
"I set goals for the girls week in, week out whether they are individual goals or a team goal each quarter.
"So I just try to push the girls as much as I can and not to be complacent.
"Just never stop, because I think like last week proved, if you do have one bad quarter or a couple of bad quarters it is quite testly.
"So I was really pleased with the way they came out today.”
The Demons pushed Nirranda for the first half before the Blues found an extra gear to break away.
The win saw Nirranda bounce back after suffering its first defeat of the season at the hands of Dennington last weekend.
Townsend said she felt her side was better for the loss.
"I think the things we took out of last week was just being really patient with our ball,” she said.
"I thought Dennington applied a lot of great pressure last week and allowed us to make mistakes.
"So this week we really focused on just our ball movement and minimal mistakes throughout the court transitioning down to the attacking end.”
