Emmanuel Ajang will run out for Greater Western Victoria Rebels against Northern Knights on Sunday as a bottom-age under 18 prospect.
“We missed him when we did our invites for under 16s and he called up and said he was keen to be involved,” Rebels talent manager Phil Partington said.
“I kept his name on a watchlist and a spot opened up.
“Emmanuel wants to get better all the time, that’s what representatives from his school at Emmanuel College (have said), and it’s the way he engages with people.
“He’s a really nice young man.”
Ajang follows his South Warrnambool teammates Ethan ‘EJ’ Harvey, Jed Henderson, Isaac Thomas and Ben Annett as TAC Cup debutants in 2018.
Thomas and Harvey, who has earned a recall, will play alongside Ajang at Mars Stadium as the Rebels attempt to win back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Portland’s Connor Giddings and Terang Mortlake’s Isaac Wareham were also added to the extended squad.
