Shaun Chapman, previously of Lava Street, unsuccessfully applied for bail in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court late Wednesday and was remanded in custody.
Detective Sergeant Jason Dance, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said it was alleged Mr Chapman had breached his bail after being charged with two counts of breaching court orders.
He is also currently on three CCOs, one imposed in the county court during March.
The Office Of Corrections is now in the process of initiating breach proceedings with the county court matterlisted for hearing on July 27.
Mr Chapman was arrested in Warrnambool on June 29 and bailed to live at Koroit.
He breached that bail when the residents kicked him out, claiming he was using ice, being aggressive, violent and unstable.
Last week he tried to change his address to McGregors Road where he was living with the woman on parole and her two children.
Detective Sergeant Dance said police, the corrections department and other government agencies all had concerns about Mr Chapman living with the woman.
"It is not a suitable address. He has a significant criminal history and 26 pages of prior court appearances," he said.
Mr Chapman was in court earlier this year for failing a driving drug test and appeared in the county court during March for sex offences.
Detective Sergeant Dance said Mr Chapman had a history of drug use and his prior offences involved violence, sex assaults and driving charges.
Mr Chapman claimed he was asked to leave the Koroit address when police checked he was complying with his bail.
He said he now had accommodation, had only been charged with very minor offending and had tried to be law abiding.
Mr Chapman claimed it would be detrimental to his mental health to be held in custody.
Magistrate Cynthia Toose refused bail saying Mr Chapman's past had caught up with him.
She remanded him in custody and said that whatever happened in the county court on July 27 would be a major step in determining Mr Chapman's immediate future.
