Cuomo has been trusted as caretaker coach in the absence of Sarah McCorkell who is overseas.
“I have been working closely with Sarah as the division one coach all year, and we have had the same plan, so it should all work ok,” she said.
"We will try and keep it stable for the girls.
“With Sarah away there could be a couple of fills ins, from the juniors or the division one team.
“But otherwise we will still have the same core group still there.”
The stand-in coach will face her first challenge when the Seagulls take on Warrnambool on Saturday.
The Seagulls will start as favourite, though if the Blues bring their A game they will take some beating.
Cuomo said she believed the match could be won or lost at one end of the court.
"Obviously with the five being as close as it is, these are must wins, so hopefully we can get across the line,” she said.
"For them, Amy Wormald in the attack end is strong and a big target, so if we can shut her down it will go along way.
"For us, I think our defensive end has been playing well.
"Carly (Watson) and Chelsea (McMahon) have bonded really well and are working well together.
“As their relationship grows they will be tougher to beat."
Both sides return to the court on Saturday after the league bye last weekend.
