The West Australian band, who have supported Bob Dylan and have been regulars at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, will play at the Lighthouse Theatre on Sunday October 7.
As well as Victoria, the tour will include shows in regional parts of Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales, as well as a show in Canberra.
The shows are an extension of the band’s Ironbark 25th anniversary tour from last year, and are targeted at cities that missed inclusion on the 2017 leg of the tour.
The tour, which begins in September, will showcase songs from The Waifs’ Ironbark album, which is their eighth studio offering.
Acting service manager at Lighthouse Theatre Amanda Kenneally said tickets went on sale on Tuesday morning.
“We are excited to have The Waifs and judging by the reaction this morning, so are the public,” she said.
“This is the first time we have had The Waifs at the Lighthouse Theatre.”
