Powercor crews are onsite to repair a cable fault currently impacting 91 customers in Peterborough.
A Powercor spokeswoman said the estimated restoration time was about 5.30pm.
“This may change depending on the extent of repairs required,” she said.
“We thank customers for their patience while crews works as quickly as possible to safely restore power supply.”
Update 3.30pm
Power has been restored to thousands of customers following an outage that occurred after a tree fell onto a power line in Timboon about 10am this morning.
A Powercor spokeswoman said there were still 21 customers without power, with restoration estimated to be about 4pm.
Meanwhile, a separate power outage has affected 91 customers at Peterborough.
The exact cause is unknown.
Earlier
Power supply has been cut to thousands of customers located between Princetown and Terang.
Powercor is reporting 1670 customers were without power earlier this morning, with 1311 customers currently still affected.
A spokeswoman said the exact cause is unknown.
“A Powercor crew is enroute to repair the fault,” she said.
“The outage occurred at about 10.15am. At this stage estimated restoration is 1pm but this could change.”
