And on Saturday nothing did as they drew 44-44 in what was the match of the round.
It is sometimes hard to know how to feel after a draw. But Timboon Demons coach Kelly Gowland was quite upbeat.
"To be honest, we didn’t start too bad, we were maybe down by two goals at quarter-time. So that's the better than previous weeks," she said.
"Then we let go in second term which was disappointing.
"But the girls had a ripping last quarter, and I was absolutely thrilled with that.
"So there's lots to take out of the match, both positive and negative."
Gowland elaborated on what they were.
“I guess I was happy with girls always positive,” she said.
“Even when we made errors they were positive to each other and backed up supported each other.
“When we were down going into final term, we kept our heads up and that propelled us to finish game.
“But we threw a lot of ball away, particularly when getting it into the goal circle.
“So next time we have to make sure we have better presence of mind in attack.”
There's lots to take out of the match, both positive and negative.
