Paul Adams, 34, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court to 18 charges including four counts of driving under the influence of drugs.
In March this year he was arrested in Portland, which led to him appearing in court on Thursday for a consolidation of six police briefs of evidence.
Adams was continually caught driving under the influence of drugs while banned last year in suburban Melbourne and at one time went through a red traffic light.
His driving did not included any other aggravating circumstances.
He had already spent 93 days in custody so his sentence has been cut out in time already served.
Magistrate Noreen Toohey said it was lucky that Adams had not killed someone on the roads.
She said he couldn’t drive after being banned for five years in June 2014 and had 24 pages of prior court appearances.
Adams has been caught driving while banned 10 times in the past decade.
The magistrate said Adams had been caught driving with drugs in his system four times and he was an extreme danger on the roads.
Ms Toohey said that if Adams did not do something about his drug issues he would just return to court for similar offending and be jailed.
He was also fined $800 and banned from driving for six months.
In a separate case, a Warrnambool district man was also jailed for thee months after pleading guilty to causing damage, possessing knuckle dusters and unlawful assault.
David Miller, 32, of Drummond Street, Dennington, has a long criminal history.
