Mr Pilgrim, a former army surgeon who specialises in upper gastrointestinal surgery, will speak at a Cancer Council fund-raiser on Sunday.
Biggest Morning Tea event organiser Karen Guyett credits Mr Pilgrim with helping her through her own battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mr Pilgrim will speak at the event, which will also include door prizes and raffles, including two nights’ accommodation in Halls Gap. Cancer Council merchandise will also be available.
The event will be held on Sunday from 10am-noon at Eastern Park, Verdon Street.
Mr Pilgrim will also speak at Warrnambool’s St John of God on Saturday from 2pm-3pm.
