More than 90 millimetres of rain has fallen at the course in the last week after 120 millimetres of rain fell in May.
Racecourse manager Daniel Lumsden described the track as a heavy 10 which was safe for racing.
The track rating has put a smile on the face of Warrnambool Grand Annual Steeplechase-winning trainer Symon Wilde, who saddles up proven wet tracker Florida Pearl in the final race.
“Florida Pearl is a swimmer,” Wilde said.
“She’ll love the wet track. She’s up in class but I still think she should be very hard to beat.
“Her last-start win on the heavy ground at Swan Hill was impressive and she’s done well since that win.
“This race just looks ideal for her at this stage of her winter campaign.”
Wilde saddles up seven other runners including Ruby Eyes, Two Bills, Leishman, Covert Miss and Valencia Missile.
The first race is scheduled to start at 11.50am with the last set down for 4.30pm.
