The English ex-pat and mother-of-three is the 2018 Winter Weekend’s children’s activities coordinator.
Having put pen to paper over the last few months, she has introduced 17 child-focused events into this year’s program.
The talented illustrator is also a textiles designer who has taught creative classes and run her own design business.
After travelling to Australia 15 years ago and finding her Australian husband, Mrs Dumesny now proudly calls Port Fairy home.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time? Knit, design, read, craft.
What’s your favorite piece of clothing you own or owned? Not clothing but I have a gorgeous jade-green Chloe Marcie handbag that was a gift.
What would your perfect room look like? A rustic farmhouse cottage with a a modern makeover, white walls, dark wood, open fire, gorgeous textiles.
What fictional place would you most like to go? Diagon Alley.
What’s your favorite drink? Gin and tonic.
What do you consider to be your best find? My husband. I travelled across the world and found him here in Australia.
When people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with? Design, illustration and photography.
Who’s your go-to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to? Ben Howard.
Who has impressed you most with what they’ve accomplished? JK Rowling and Emma Watson.
What was the best book or series that you’ve ever read? Harry Potter.
What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation? Attachment parenting.
What’s the best thing that happened to you last week? I’m one of the event organisers for the Port Fairy Twilight Market and it was a huge success.
Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? Heron Island, Queensland.
What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you? My husband survived a cardiac arrest at 26.
What one thing do you really want but can’t afford? Six months travelling South America.
