South Warrnambool forward Shannon Beks, Koroit premiership forward Jarrod Korewha, Port Fairy’s Kaine Mercovich and Camperdown’s Jack Williams have been selected in the 42-man senior squad which will face Vic Metro at Ballarat’s Mars Stadium.
North Warrnambool’s Sam James has been selected in the 54-player under 19 representative side that will face the Victorian Amateur Football Association in the 2018 under 19 Challenge Cup, which will kick off before the senior game.
All five of the Bottle Greens named in the initial squad have played senior football with their respective clubs.
AFL and St Kilda legend Danny Frawley, who will hope to continue Vic Country’s winning streak over Metro, will coach the senior squad again this year.
Damian Sexton will lead the under 19 Vic Country squad, which will look to claim its fifth consecutive win over VAFA, for the tenth consecutive year.
