All the Bottle Greens needed to do was overcome Ovens and Murray Football Netball League to qualify for the semi finals.
The game against the OMFNL finished in a 13-all draw and ensured the Bottle Greens were knocked out of the competition and Ovens and Murray progressed.
Hampden open coach Melanie Starr said despite missing out on the finals it was a god day for the league.
“The day was really positive and the results were one of the best that Hampden has recorded in a few years,” she said.

“We were disappointed to miss out as every other team had a bye, which was an automatic four points, but with the change in schedules due to the weather we didn’t get that gimme game.
“That said, to only lose one game by one-goal (Bellarine FNL) and draw against one of the strongest teams (OMFNL) was a fantastic effort.”
The Bottle Greens under 15 and 17s sides, coached by Stacey O'Sullivan and Dot Jenkins, also missed out on making finals finishing third (pool b) and fourth (pool a) respectively.
