Damien Keane, 24, of Officer Street, pleaded guilty in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court to burglary, theft and firearm offences.
Tools including a welder, drop saw, whipper snipper, chainsaw and Esky were earlier stolen.
The 10 firearms were found in Keane's car wrapped in a blanket.
Keane claimed he and a co-accused went to the farm to steal fuel, but magistrate Cynthia Toose said the men knew the guns were at the property.
They opened the gun safe with a grinder and disposed of the safe.
The offenders claimed the co-accused was owed money and he was also previously jailed for two months
