The talented 15-year-old starred for Vic Country in its opening round win against NSW/ACT 6.9 (45) to 2.2 (14).
The Greater Western Victoria Rebels midfielder-forward said she was pleased with her performance.
“I think I played a pretty decent game. I just did all of the right things,” Saulitis said.
“It was good to be in the midfield where I was able to run with the ball and hit up the forwards.”
Celebrations have been short lived for Saulitis and Vic Country with their focus already turning to this weekend’s match against rival Victoria Metro which will be played at Geelong’s GMHBA Stadium.
Saulitis said she expects it to be a ‘tough game’, as Vic Metro also recorded a round one win against South Australia.
