The talented south-west artist won the poster award category at the Museums Australasia Multimedia and Publication Design Awards in Melbourne on Tuesday night.
Her poster entitled ‘Free to be Every Me’ was designed to represent the possibility of a world in which gender equality was "the norm".
Its inception was timed to co-incide with the national ‘16 Days of Activism’ campaign, joining the National Go Orange campaign aimed at preventing violence against women.
Ms Murphy’s artwork was displayed on the exterior front walls of the WAG during December.
Copies of her winning poster are available for purchase at the Gallery’s gift shop.
