John Stephens, the operator of Lake Pertobe Motor Boats, said vandals ripped four wooden poles from the structure before throwing them on to nearby grass or into the water late Saturday or in the early hours Sunday.
The poles are used to support patrons getting in and out of the boats.
“It’s pretty disappointing,” Mr Stephens said.
“We pride ourselves on being able to provide our boats to everyone and if you’ve got people who are elderly or disabled getting in and out, they need to have that support to (lean on).
“This is a kids park, you’d think people would have a bit more respect.”
Mr Stephens’ family has leased part of Lake Pertobe from Warrnambool City Council since the mid 1970s. It’s the first time the jetty has been targeted by vandals.
A spokesman for the council said the poles would be replaced.
