Anytime Fitness in Warrnambool joined in the Tread Together Challenge to raise money for Suicide Prevention Australia.
The challenge involved a treadmill at Anytime Fitness going constantly from 3pm on Friday to 3pm on Saturday. During that time, 60 participants took part, spending between 10 and 30 minutes on the treadmill at a time. Each participant donated the amount of dollars that matched their time on the treadmill.
Club manager Jade Thwaites said participants helped raise over $1400 and had plenty of fun along the way.
“Some people walked, some ran, some walked backwards and some even danced during their time on the treadmill,” Ms Thwaites said.
“This was the first time we have done this in Warrnambool and we are hoping now to do it annually.”
