The first-year coach said she had found her seven starting players and that the Lions were beginning to find their feet, especially in the attacking third.
“Lisa (Pender) and Abby (Sheehan) are working very well down in the attacking end,” she said.
“We also have Courtney Bellman as a goal shooter and Abby and Courtney have gelled really well together, which is good that they have worked out how each other plays and can utilise that.”
The settled Lions side is starting to record some victories.
It has sealed two consecutive wins against East Warrnambool and Russells Creek before last weekend’s league-wide bye.
They will will look to get a third against Kolora-Noorat on Saturday.
But Rohan is making sure her players remain level-headed and with their minds on the job ahead.
“I’ve said to the girls not to get too ahead of ourselves and take it week by week,” she said.
“We have some tougher games coming up against Kolora-Noorat this week and Nirranda the week after.”
Rohan rewarded Laura Biggs for a strong game against Russells Creek, giving her another chance to perform in A grade as the Lions’ eighth player on Saturday.
Kolora-Noorat comes off a two-week bye, which included last weekend’s league wide bye and its scheduled week off before that, and wants continue its winning form after notching up its first win before its break.
