Former Mortlake College student Jakalyn Cooper has been awarded a 2018 Macpherson Smith Rural Foundation (MSRF) tertiary scholarship.

Selected as one of three recipients from more than 200 applicants, the scholarship will support Ms Cooper, 18, in her current studies for a Bachelor of Science in Melbourne. The scholarship includes $45,000 in financial support over three years, plus mentoring and leadership development.
Ms Cooper was selected for her commitment to regional Victoria and leadership capacity.
Her community contributions have included volunteering at her local sports clubs, joining the Australian Army Cadets, the Moyne Shire Youth Council and supporting the Mortlake College Student Leadership team.
