The female was walking along Liebig Street about 2.30pm on Friday, May 18 when she fell and dropped her purse.
Police would like to speak to this man, who made a purchase at a supermarket on May 18.
Unaware she had left her purse behind, she got up and kept walking.
A short time later a man, believed to be aged between 35 and 40, used the credit card at a nearby supermarket.
He bought a packet of cigarettes with the credit card.
The man is about 173 centimetres tall, was wearing a blue baseball cap, black polo jumper and jeans.
