The St Patrick’s Primary School children, in grades prep to two, rolled up their sleeves and got busy in the kitchen as part of a cooking class.
The photo was published in the June 5, 2008 edition of The Moyne Gazette and the article stated that pupils and staff reaped the rewards of the students’ efforts with a tasty afternoon tea.
This week is Education Week across Victoria where no doubt one of our south-west schools would be teaching similar valuable culinary lessons to students of varying ages.
It runs until Sunday and aims to showcase some of the great things that happen in school communities.
