A mum with three children on board was heading west on the Princes Highway and was turning right into her driveway when she was hit by the car behind her. A third car failed to stop and hit the back of it.
The second car was driven by a woman, also carrying three children, and the third vehicle was driven by a woman who was on her own.
Koroit police Leading Senior Constable Andy Gottliebsen said the accident occurred at 4.10pm and the east-bound lane of the highway was closed while emergency services responded.
He said two people were taken to the Warrnambool Base Hospital with minor injuries. Koroit police, Warrnambool and Port Fairy Highway Patrol and an ambulance attended.
Leading Senior Constable Gottliebsen said the car was following too close and police were investigating the incident.
The second and third cars that collided into the vehicles in front of them were towed from the scene.
