Senior Sergeant Shane Keogh, from Warrnambool police, said 260 sheep were stolen between February 1 and April 16. The ewes were black tagged and had ID numbers.
Senior Sergeant Keogh urged anyone who saw anything suspicious to report it to police.
“If you see a horse float or a cattle trailer at a strange time let police know,” he said.
“Report it to the local police or triple-0.”
