Flaherty will have a key role in Commonwealth Golf Club’s quest for a second consecutive Golf Victoria women’s division one pennant when she lines up in the grand final on Sunday.
Flaherty, a member of both Warrnambool and Port Fairy clubs, faces Huntingdale in the title-decider at Cranbourne.
Commonwealth enters the showdown with a 6-1 win/loss record this season. But its only loss was to Huntingdale (5-2).
Flaherty, who has played at number two for much of the season, has won an impressive six out of seven matches.
She is hoping to follow the success of Warrnambool member and friend Caleb Perry, who was part of Commonwealth's back-to-back colts titles earlier this month.
In other pennant golf news, the Western District Golf Association’s men's division one regular season is set for a compelling climax on Sunday. Port Fairy, Hamilton and Portland are fighting for a spot in the grand final against unbeaten Warrnambool when play tees off at Portland.
