“We just need to trust the structures that Sarge has and because we are the sort of group who haven't been together a lot, he emphasises that we keep trusting that we can do it and have faith in each other and that it will play out well,” the Bloods centre half-forward said. 

The Bloods recorded two wins in a row before this weekend’s interleague bye and Moloney said the trust they’ve built would allow them to work their way into the top five.

Moloney, who returned to Terang Mortlake after two years with Leopold in the Geelong Football League and trained with the Hampden senior interleague squad on Tuesday night, said he had enjoyed the first five rounds back in the league.

“It's been good playing with and against guys you grew up with,” he said.

“It has given me the chance to challenge myself against them again and to also see how much they have developed over the last few years.”
