The event was held to raise funds for the Smith Family’s Learning for Life program and attracted 65 frocked-up guests who rang in the royal day in some style.
The VIEW Club (Voice, Interests and Education of Women) has been active for more than 20 years and raises money for the Learning for Life program which provides learning and mentoring programs for disadvantaged students.
Secretary Chris Smith said the event was a lot of fun and all guests had been given a “title” and dressed up accordingly: “We had the Royal Family, Camilla, Victoria Beckham, Theresa May, you name it, we had a lot of titles on the day,” she said.
Ms Smith said while she wouldn’t be glued to the screen on Saturday, she thought people were “looking forward” to the Royal Wedding and it was “a good opportunity to raise money for a good cause”.
