Doors on the Raglan Parade store will close for the final time on Friday night, ahead of the move to the newly-built Lava Street store.
South West Vic retail manager David Owen said they needed to reduce stock levels to make the move easier and there would be plenty of bargains to be had.
“Come in on Friday and make us an offer,” Mr Owen said. “No reasonable offer will be refused.”
Mr Owen said doors at the new store, next to Relax and Entertain, would open on Wednesday.
The store is bigger and brighter than the previous premises and backs onto the Lifeline warehouse where donations are sorted and stored.
He said the larger shop would stock additional quality furniture items and provide greater room for clothing and bric a brac displays. It will also make volunteers jobs easier as they restock the new store from the nearby warehouse.
Mr Owen said the central location would encourage more CBD shoppers to come in to browse and the new building provided easier customer access.
Mr Owen said it was an end of an era and the move highlighted Lifeline’s faith in the future of the Warrnambool CBD.
He called for anyone with quality furniture items to drop them off or phone the store to organise a collection. “We’re happy to pick it up or they can put it into their trailer and drop it off.”
