It’s a chance to get one back on an old rival in Port Fairy.
The grand final replay looms as a crunch match for both clubs – with Warrnambool determined to keep its undefeated streak intact.
Port Fairy, meanwhile, must win to stay in the hunt for finals.
Port Fairy, led by Kevin Longmore, went a long way to defending its crown last Sunday, thumping Cobden 7-0 to complete perfect preparation for the Warrnambool stoush.
It’s a very big game – they’re undefeated and it’s going to have some big challenges.

“We’re very happy with the team. To win seven-zip was really, really good for us,” Longmore, a first-year captain at Port Fairy, said.
“We really want to carry that into next week. It’s a very big game – they’re undefeated and it’s going to have some big challenges.
“We do look forward to playing Warrnambool. We get along well with them and it’s always a really close contest.”
Longmore was thrilled with his players’ output, hailing the efforts of both Shane Gurnett and Noah Best.
On Sunday, Warrnambool beat Hamilton 5/2 while Portland defeated Timboon 4/3 to notch its first win.
