The new-look side is relishing the chance to make amends for a heartbreaking one-goal loss at the hands of reigning premier Koroit on Saturday against a mystery Portland outfit.
Jenkins said confidence had been extracted from the one-goal defeat.
“Koroit were a bit undermanned in that they didn’t have Nell Mitchell playing. But we’d be silly not to take confidence out of it,” she said.
“We matched them in a lot of places and it was one of those games where we could have stolen the four points.
“The girls were a bit disappointed to let it go but to Koroit’s credit, they were able to make some key changes and bring some very experienced players back on to play on some of our less experienced girls.”
Jenkins said she wasn’t certain of what Portland would bring to the fixture.
“I don’t know too much about them – I’m not sure who they played against last week,” she said.
“We’ll find all that out in a few weeks.”
