The surprise last start Bendigo Golden Mile winner Dodging Bullets has stablemate Floral Fever as one of his rivals in the $250,000 Gold Heath over 20000 metres while Sister Kitty Mac and La Fleurette run in a fillies and mares race for Wilde.
“Dodging Bullets is the best of mine on Saturday,” he said.
“His win in the Golden Mile was a great effort and he’s improved with that run under his belt. He’s got a good record over the distance and at Caulfield which are all bonuses.
“This race offer excellent prizemoney. We’ve set Dodging Bullets for the Warrnambool Cup and this race is the ideal stepping stone for a cup start.” Dodging Bullets, who will have the services of in-form jockey Daniel Moor, is rated a $4 hope in the early betting markets.
