The two clubs will play under 12, under 14 and under 16 night fixtures at Friendly Societies’ Park on Thursday, April 26.
Roosters president Steve Harris said the intiative was a positive for both outfits.
Junior netball will also be played.
The clubs’ senior grades have the bye on the Saturday after playing that fixture on Good Friday.
“It’s the Koroit Irish Festival weekend in round three in Koroit and because the juniors were slated to be played on the Sunday, we thought it might be novel, if Koroit agreed, to run juniors as a night game,” Harris said.
“It’s an opportunity for people to come along to something different. I can guarantee from our kids’ perspective that they’re really excited for the opportunity.
“The Hampden league was very supportive of it.”.
