Fast-forward to 2018, and Jensen’s three daughters Amelia, Lucy and Victoria are national champions across a range of disciplines in the boutique sport of miniature horse competition.
Two of the family’s horses – the most successful dubbed ‘Charlie’ – won ‘supreme’ awards, meaning they’re among the best in the nation.
Jensen said the family “loved” the lifestyle, with horses based at both their Mortlake property and a paddock in the Moyne Shire community.
Jensen said the family poured hours of hard work into the sport.

“The girls were keen to still be involved in horses (after the accident), so we had to find something we could all do as a family,” she said.
“There’s a lot of work involved. Before every show, you have to clip the body of the horse. We dye some of them as well.
“There’s a lot of work and training involved. Charlie is one of the most awarded miniature horses in the country, and rarely is he ever beaten.
“It’s very rewarding when you can take out those things and get those awards.”
