Final race meeting won't go ahead

Premier Speedway’s final race meeting of the 2017-18 season has been cancelled due the wild weather hitting the south-west.

The management and board of Premier Speedway apologised for any inconvenience that was caused and said the decision was not made lightly.

A statement said given the rain and high winds forecast for Saturday and into Saturday night and Sunday it was thought best to make the call early.

The statement said the organisers would like to thank the competitors who had entered for the weekend, and those who planned to attend for their understanding and hoped that the “early call provides them with an opportunity to revise their racing plans for the weekend.”
